Holy Communion

"For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him." (Jn: 55-56)
Eucharist / Holy Communion
The Eucharist is the Sacrament in which Jesus gives His Body and Blood of Christ to us.

Jesus is really present in the bread and wine that have been consecrated by the priest at Mass. Although the bread and wine still look and taste like bread and wine, the substance, what is actually there, has changed.

In “Restored Order of the Sacraments”, children engaged in Religious Education for two (2) years may receive Holy Communion. Ordinarily it is in the 3rd grade.

The Eucharist and Confirmation are received at the same celebration of the Mass.
